Svetlana Bulatova is an independent documentary photographer. Svetlana is working on documentary series, mainly in medium format. She works individually and focused on long-term projects. Currently lives and works in St.Petersburg.

Svetlana Bulatova was born in 1991. She is a graduate specialist in historical studies. Svetlana proceeded to develop her interest in social studies and various communities. Since 2016 Svetlana has been working in the North Caucasus. Her previous experience led her to the South Caucasus. The focus of her attention is on overcoming the aftermath of war conflicts. She explores these opportunities through documentary photography. In 2018 Svetlana joined to Women Photograph organization. Now she is a member of the Women Photograph Advisory Committee (East Europe).
Svetlana's works were published in National Geographic (USA, UK), National Geographic Al Arabiya, Reuters, British Journal of Photography, Bloomberg, Calvert Journal, Spectrum News, EEP Berlin, Analog Magazine, Scena9, Roads & Kingdoms, Here Magazine, The Morning Calm, Autism Parenting Magazine, Russian Reporter, Novaya Gazeta, Takie Dela, Seanse Magazine, Glasnaya Media and among others.
